From George:

Mr. Twelve ;-) – I work for a fantastic nonprofit social service agency that helps people in crisis to stabilize and improve their lives.  We help people of all ages with mental health issues, addictions, affordable housing needs, etc.

Remember Jefferson Starship – “Volunteers”? – That’s us.

We’d love to be included in your 12 days of Christmas fundraising.  Let me know if you’re interested and have room to include us.

You’ve got it, George.  Volunteers Of America, Massachusetts Chapter.  Hit ‘em up.

Ashley from Weymouth says “GO GREEN!” Not just this Christmas, but everyday, the Trust For Public Land is protecting your own backyard–literally.  They take your money & buy up things like old farms & rundown parks, then turn them into useable public land, saving them from the bulldozers of overdevelopment.  Oh, and now through 12/31, they’ll match your donation dollar-for-dollar, up to the first $1,000,000.

The New England Seafarers Mission is local, based out of Black Falcon Cruise Terminal in Boston.  They aid the many cruise ship, container ship, and other sea workers who come through the terminal by providing hospitality in the form of gift bags and phone cards, so they can stay comfortable & close to their families who, in many cases, are half way around the world.  My word, that was a long sentance.  Anyway, show them some love & make a donation this Christmas.

After name-dropping Zoolights at the Stone Zoo during a GoreTex spot yesterday, a bunch of people reached out & suggested I mention the Zoos for my Adam 12 Days Of Christmas.  So here you go.  Annual fund donations are fully tax-deductable, but there are also some good gift ideas for the animal lover on your list.

The Pine Street Inn is a local charity that does great things for Boston’s homeless.  In fact, any of your donations that the Chili Guy turns his nose up at will be given to the Pine Street Inn.  Got a Toucher & Rich fan on your holiday shopping list?  Why not make a donation in their name?  Tell ‘em you did it for Chili!
